Ibiza

2023

I was lucky enough to win an all expenses paid trip to Ibiza with work. Really wasn’t sure if it was my vibe but LOVED it and would definitely recommend. Click here for the trip video.

Flights – costs vary depending on the time of year you visit. We went for the week of the opening parties and flights were approx. £450 return per person with Jet2. Check Skyscanner for best rates.

Accommodation – suggest staying in a villa if you’re in a group for a more peaceful experience during downtime. We stayed at Jardins de Jondal which was absolutely stunning, although it’s quite pricey at over £7k for a minimum 4 night booking. It does have 4 bedrooms so split between 8 isn’t so bad.

Getting Around – hire a car for ease getting around the island, especially if you’re staying in a more remote villa. Ibiza apparently doesn’t have many taxis but we only struggled to order taxis to the villa once and it was always easy to get back. Make sure you download TaxiClick – bit of an odd app but worked fine for us and you can pay in cash in the car when it collects you. They’re not too expensive – certainly cheaper than pre-ordering.

What to do…

Ibiza is well-known for its nightlife which is what our trip focussed on! Below are the places we went to (although there are many, many more!)

Night 1 – Pacha
Our first night was the opening party for Robin Schulz at Pacha – the company pre-booked a VIP area behind the DJ for a EUR 3,500 minimum spend. Ibiza is very expensive so EUR 3,500 is actually more easily spent than you might think. I’m sure I wouldn’t have had such a good time if we didn’t have this area – gets pretty intense on the main dancefloor. Opens at 00:00.

Night 2 – Ushuaia
We didn’t have a VIP area for Ushuaia and I’m actually so glad as it was the Calvin Harris opening party and I got pretty close to the front with one of my colleagues. EUR 95 for a ticket – suggest pre-booking. Downside was that the queues for drinks were SOOOO long. So long that I bought 30 beers and then had to stand protecting them! Calvin Harris was absolutely incredible. Opened at 17:00 and finished at 23:00. Top tip – leave 15 mins early as the taxi queue is not fun.

Night 3 – Hi Ibiza
This club is UNREAL – hailed as the best club in the world and I can see why! Absolutely amazing layout, sound system and vibe. We went for the Black Coffee opening party and had a VIP table – more expensive than Pacha at a minimum spend of EUR 5,000 – somehow still managed to spend more (a bottle of water on the way out cost one of my colleagues EUR 30!)

Chilling at the Villa
We had a car so drove to a supermarket on the first morning and stocked up on a ton of food and alcohol. We did a BBQ, had paella and of course baguettes, Maxibon ice-cream and chocolate milk.

Sunset Ashram
Sunset Ashram is a cute beach restaurant about a 30 minute drive from our villa. We went for lunch as the sunset dinner we had booked was called off due to a massive thunderstorm. In the evening they have a DJ and dancing. Food was tasty, reasonably priced and the view is amazing.

Sa Caleta
We were a short walk away from a pretty bay / beach called Sa Caleta. Also home to a really good restaurant of the same name – we enjoyed a fish feast one evening and a delicious paella for one lunch.

You must get the ali oli – unbelievable. All super reasonably priced.

Overall, if you have a bit of cash to spend on a blow-out few nights of partying, I would 100% say go to Ibiza. I am not a massive party animal but LOVED the clubs we went to and managed to stay out all night.

The old town is apparently beautiful, although we didn’t have time to explore it.

Would go back for sure 🙂
